First Post! Summer is coming to a close, Fall update.

Community meeting Saturday August 28th 11am.

Well we can almost Summer off the list. Some issues to address...

  1.  With lack of rain during these high temp's it has been hard to keep the plants saturated and happy. The tomato plants felt it the worst as they shriveled up. One solution that can be done, is to get a water pipe hook up from the town and use it when we are out of the water in the rain barrels, so there is always the back up feeling.
  2. Another is the weeds, if anyone has any tools, ie: weed wacker, organic weed killer, please let us know.

Once September rolls around, weekly Saturday meetings/workdays at 10am.

*Recycling Opportunity*-If you eat a fair amount of yogurt, you can wash and save the yogurt cups then use them to start off either your fall, spring, or summer seedlings before planting them into the ground. This way you do not have to constantly go to the store to buy new seed pots. You can just keep on reusing the yogurt containers time and time again.

Fall planting is coming up quick, so start thinking of what you would like to see being grown
